Bankstown Sports- Committed to Promoting Inclusivity

Bankstown Sports believe in the power of people and making a difference, that's exactly why they partnered with NSW Goalball. 

After hearing about the incredible impact the Goalball 4 Schools (G4S) program has had in other LGAs with regards to raising disability awareness and promoting inclusivity, Bankstown Sports wanted to support students in their community. 

One of the biggest barriers faced by schools is funding the program. Because of this Bankstown Sports utilsied their ClubGrants funding to sponsor these programs. The results were phenomenal:

• 1,358 participating students from 11 schools

• 68 separate sessions between years K-12

• 91% of students said they wanted to see G4S in their school more often

• 4.9/5 was the average rating for how fun the sessions were

• 92% of students felt they had a better understanding of disability awareness and inclusivity after the G4S program
